Currently being used to change the history curriculum in Northern Ireland schools

Before my time sets out to ask difficult questions about the school history curriculum. The main question asked is “why are the Northern Ireland troubles not on the secondary school curriculum?” The film probes the possibility of teaching about the troubles as well as touching on the difficulties of doing so. The student who presents the film talks to teachers, pupils, academics and ex-combatants in her search for answers. The profound nature of the film has enabled it to get educationalists in Northern Ireland discussing this issue.
